Crystal Travel & Tours merge with 1 2 Travel to provide a complete vacation package for Britain & Ireland

BOSTON: (13 Jan 2007)

Crystal Travel & Tours founded in 1985 is to merge with Irish based 1 2 Travel in Spring 2007. The new company will continue to provide a complete package for vacations in Ireland and Britain and will operate as myguideIreland for vacations to Ireland and myguideBritain for vacations to Britain.

Established in Ireland in 1998, 1 2 Travel is Ireland's number one inbound tour operator, and has operated in Britain since 2004.

The merger between the two companies combines the best in air travel to Britain & Ireland, offered by the Boston based Crystal Travel & Tours, with the best in local knowledge and expertise on the ground provided by 1 2 Travel.

Commenting on the merger, James. P. Kelly, Founder and President of Crystal Travel & Tours said: ‘We are delighted to announce the success of the merger between these two like minded companies. Conor B Buckley will be CEO of the newly created holding company myguideTravel and Jim Kelly will report to him as President. Both will sit on the board of directors of myguideTravel. The Kelly family will take up strategic roles in the expanded company.
