Nestled within a deep valley, Lough Inagh Lodge is surrounded by the rugged countryside of Connemara, flanked by its mountains and situated over looking one of its Loughs; spectacular scenery in which guests can walk, fish, explore and enjoy.

Set by the shores of the lake of the same name Lough Inagh Lodge is a characterful, country lodge built in the 1880s. The Martins of Ballynahinch Castle would have at one time owned the lands surrounding the lodge, when these passed into the ownership of Richard Berridge, a London brewer in the 19th Century, he built the hotel as a fishing lodge beside Lough Inagh.

A charming country retreat, Lough Inagh Lodge is filled with fine antique furnishings, sporting trophies and intriguing little antiquities - the original lodge record books will make fascinating reading for fishermen. While open log fires in the library and sitting room and the cosy oak panelled bar add to the warmth of atmosphere and old world charm of the lodge.

Each of the bedrooms at the lodge are richly decorated, finely furnished and very spacious with king sized beds, separate dressing rooms and tall ceilings characteristic of the architecture of the day. The bedrooms each boast fine views over the lake and the mountainous Twelve Bens.

Dining at the lodge is a refined but relaxed, intimate affair with typical country house cuisine blended with a little French flair, where seafood and wild game dishes are specialities of the house and are complemented by an excellent wine list.

Outdoor activities are unlimited at Lough Inagh Lodge, with good storage and drying space for boots, rods and other equipment. The lodge offers access to game fishing for salmon, sea trout and brown trout on Lough Inagh, sea angling within a ten mile radius, shooting in the surrounding area during the woodcock season, pony trekking and golf. The lodge also produces an excellent guidebook of recommended walks in the area and is a great base for touring the wilds of Connemara.
