Brook Lodge

Tucked away in a secluded corner in the centre of Killarney, the Brook Lodge is a haven of peace and calm, with an air of country house charm.

Just off High Street in the bustling town of Killarney, the Brook Lodge is an attractive sylvan styled hotel set within an acre of landscaped gardens. A family run hotel, the Brook Lodge has a warm, intimate atmosphere with excellent hospitality offered by the Counihan family and their friendly staff. Cosy country house decor of light and airy rooms is complemented with old-fashioned furnishings warmed by an open log fires, giving Brook Lodge a sense of old world charm.

The Brook Lodge has a selection of well-appointed rooms, hugely spacious and very tastefully decorated. Harmonious colours, soft lighting and cosy furnishings all go to make rooms designed for comfort and relaxation, which come with full facilities. The Brook Lodge's rooms can easily cater for family groupings and those with wheelchairs.

The attractively set Brook Restaurant at the hotel, boasts a fine and varied menu, selecting the best of local produce, seafood from Dingle and succulent lamb from the Kerry Mountains, complimented with a wide selection of wines from around the world. After dinner drinks or aperitif's can be taken in the refined residents bar.

Killarney's bustling centre is just a few steps away from the Brook Lodge. A town that needs no introduction, Killarney has been attracting people to the scenic lakes and mountains of the National Park for centuries. This vibrant town is packed with entertainments, from riding the horse drawn box carts, to enjoying the traditional sounds emanating from one of Killarney's many musical pubs. The Brook Lodge is perfectly placed for a stay in Killarney and for exploring the sights in the outer areas of the Dingle Peninsula and the Ring of Kerry and also for golfing at Ballybunion, Killarney.

Guest Reviews of Brook Lodge

Didn't use the linked hotel, possibly confused with the Brook Lodge Maccreddin village- which is my assumption in answering this.

Wonderful food. A shame that more people did not try the resteraunt.

We were moved to a two-bed twin room from a 1 double bed room, per our request. Room was very musty smelling. Two of us stayed in another room with a double and one twin. Room was very large, nice and clean. At night, hotel reached by going through alleys. Not bad for us with two men, but would not recommend for women travelling alone.

I don't know the amount paid for the hotels. It seems we were paying the "Rack Rate" which almost no one ever pays in hotels in the US. As such it is hard to assess the value for the money.

We really enjoyed this hotel. The room was large and spacious with an excellent view of the town and countryside. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. The food was average and the bar small but there were excellent restaurants and bars within an easy walk of the hotel so we didn't mind this at all. This was one of our favorite hotels.

A warm and cosy family run hotel, Situated in Killarney town though not in town centre still within walking distance.

This was a beautiful hotel. It was a very convenient location to the center of town. We were able to park our cars and just walk everywhere in Killarney. We really enjoyed our stay there and would definetly go back.

Dinner was very pricy and only a few choices.

I highly recommend the Brook Lodge to travellers who want a countryside retreat with a high level of service. My only non-positive comment is that the spa services were not up to U.S. standards. They were adequate, and the facility is beautiful, but they appear to want to be above adequate.
